Who We Are

Western Respiratory Trial Specialists (WRTS) was established in December 2012. In June 2018, we changed our name to TrialsWest to reflect the fact that we are now involved in research in therapeutics areas other than respiratory.

We have been involved in numerous phase II to IV clinical trials sponsored by the leading global pharmaceutical companies including GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), AstraZeneca, Novartis, Merck, Sanofi Aventis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Bayer, Pearl Therapeutics and Biogen. It is possible that the time from feasibility to first participant enrolled can be less than 6 weeks. As well, we are consistently one of the highest recruiting sites in Australia, if not globally.

We are located at 6 Barrington Street in Spearwood (Perth, Western Australia).

Dr Helen Pavitt

Study Manager / Director

BSc Hons, PhD

Since 2004 Helen has been involved in the conduct of over 50 clinical trials
(phase Ib, II, III, IV and pre-clinical) in the following therapeutic areas: respiratory, gastroenterology, hepatology, haematology, ENT, nephrology and vaccines.
Helen was previously the Clinical Manager at Resonance Health and the Manager
of the Clinical Trials Unit at the Lung Institute of Western Australia.

Michelle Davies

Study Manager / Director

BSc (Nursing)

Michelle is a registered nurse and has been managing clinical trials for over 15 years. She is experienced in conducting Phase Ib to Phase IV clinical trials in the following indications: respiratory, ENT, vaccines and nephrology. Michelle was previously the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit at the Lung Institute of Western Australia.

Prof. Peter Bremner

Principal Investigator / Director

MBChB, FRACP, MD

Professor Bremner is a respiratory physician and has been involved in more than 70 clinical trials over the past 25 years.

This experience has included involvement in phase 1b, II, III and IV clinical trials as both the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator.
