Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a lung disease that makes it hard to breathe. Symptoms include coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. The main causes are smoking, long-term exposure to harmful chemicals, and air pollution. Â There is no cure for COPD. However, treatments can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. This study is designed to investigate the effects of a novel treatment for COPD.

Main Entry Criteria
- 40 to 75 years of age years
- Confirmed diagnosis of COPD
- Elevated eosinophil levels in your blood
- Experienced at least one moderate COPD flare-up in the past 12 months
Main Exclusion Criteria
- Asthma, active Tuberculosis, lung cancer, bronchiectasis, sarcoidosis, lung fibrosis, primary pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung diseases or other active pulmonary diseases.
- More than one moderate exacerbation, treated with corticosteroids or antibiotics (or both), or severe exacerbation in the past 12 months
- Continuous oxygen requiring for COPD.
- Pregnancy or breast feeding
